21 Feb 1849 - born in Bantry Bay, Ireland 

1857 (8 y/o) - working at White Star Sail and Rigging Loft 

1861 (12 y/o) - T.E. Lemon of Liverpool apprentice sailing to different parts of world

1866 (17 y/o) - finished T.E. Lemon apprenticeship and received indenture

1867 (18 y/o) - shipped to Pudget Sound, Port Madison aboard the Barque Live Yankee

1867 (18.5 y/o) - left Port Madison for San Francisco

1869 (19 y/o) - escaped Robin Island aboard Bargue the Fanny

August 1869 - arrived at U.S. Consul in Hakodate 

August 1869 - June 1870 - quartermaster of Aerial in Hakodate

October 1870 (20 years old) - September 1872 - quartermaster of U.S. Golden Age 

January 1873 (23 years old) - returned to Liverpool

July 1873 - left Liverpool aboard the S.S. Kang bound for China and Japan

August 1873 - S.S. Kang runs ashore Prunder Filbuck in The Gulf of Aden

November 1873 - rescued and sailed for Aden

December 1873 - returned to Liverpool for Court of Inquiry. Ordered to remain until cleared.

April 1874 (24 y/o) - called to London, cleared of wrongdoing, passed examinations.

May-June 1874 - shipped as Third Officer aboard Hankow Paddle Steamer for Shanghai

July 1874 - arrive in Yokohama 

July 1874 - April 1877 - joined Pacific mail boat Golden Age and Mitsu Bishi Mail Steam Ship as Quartermaster

April 1877 (27 years old) - joined Mitsu Bishi Company S.S. Hiogo Maru

June 1878 (28 years old) - joined Mitsu Bishi Company on board the S.S. Hiroshima Maru as 3rd Officer

1879 (29 years old) - arrived in Yokohama aboard Mitsu Bishi Company S.S. Sumida Maru

1879 - aboard Kokonoye Maru and transferred to schooner Awagishima Maru

1884 (34 years old) - transferred to Nagasaki and employed at Mitsu Bishi Dockyard
